Since then,   Tha Carter V has been the subject of contention between the mogul and his “son.” Earlier this year, Baby said that the album is “definitely” coming, claims that Wayne quickly shut down. F*ck Cash Money. Amid the drama,   Martin Shkreli alleged that he had the record and played some of the music for his followers. Besides   Tha Carter V, Lil Wayne is prepping   Funeral,   Velvet and   Dedication 6. We might be closer to the release of Lil Wayne’s   Tha Carter V as Weezy himself declared the much-anticipated project is “coming soon” during a recent show. Lil Wayne says "C5 coming soon. It's the Roc."

Lil Wayne made his woes against Birdman and the label public back in December 2014. In the clip, Wayne also declares “Fuck Cash Money” and “It’s the Roc.” This echoes his previous statement of allegiance to Jay Z’s brand, which he previously clarified does not mean he’s signed with Roc Nation, but that Hov is fully supporting the New Orleans rapper in his battle against Cash Money.

— FUTURE/FREEBANDZ (@1future) April 29, 2017 The Harlem rapper was previously slated to join the Nobody Safe Tour as a special guest on selected dates. Although no reason for the swap has been made public, Kodak Black is in jail awaiting sentencing after he was found guilty of violating his probation. The “Tunnel Vision” rapper’s next hearing is May 4, the same day the Nobody Safe Tour kicks off in Memphis. The Atlanta superstar shared a flier for the upcoming trek on Twitter Friday (April 28) and Project Baby’s name is nowhere to be seen. View Future’s tweet with the updated Nobody Safe Tour dates and lineup below. The new flier also shows several new stops in California and an additional date in Future’s hometown. His maximum sentence is eight years in prison, but his lawyer believes that it’s more likely he will receive a lighter punishment such as having his probation extended. Young Thug is still listed as a special guest while A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Zoey Dollaz are now scheduled to join in on a handful of performances. Instead, A$AP Ferg is shown as the last featured artist under Migos and Tory Lanez. It appears that Kodak Black is off of Future‘s Nobody Safe Tour.

The Ruff Ryders legend made the call after canceling a series of performances due to what was deemed a “medical emergency.” DMX reportedly entered the rehab facility voluntarily Thursday (April 28) in Southern California with the support of his manager, Pat Gallo, and his ex-wife, Tashera Simmons. “We are eternally grateful for the outpouring of concern and support that has poured in. We ask that you please keep X in your prayers as he embraces your support.”
The Dog took the stage last week at the Ruff Ryders reunion show at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn where the show was littered with technical issues and some ramblings. “It is important right now that he take some time off to focus on his health so that he can be a better father, friend and entertainer,” Gallo said in a statement. This is not DMX’s first trip to rehab as he’s battled substance abuse for quite some time. DMX has checked himself into rehab, according to TMZ.

Numbers don’t lie. I don’t give a fuck about that. Right now we’re going through a major problem because I have so many singles. In my family, it was already in their head for me to eventually go there. I did that and in less than a year, I made one of the biggest songs the label had and sold a lot of units — over 800,000 to be exact. That’s what you have managers and lawyers for. I feel like I have to start back over because I have to prove it to them again. I’m excited about the summer. “And, I’m cool with that because me coming from last year, I feel like I earned everyone’s respect. A few months after that, that’s when both of them collectively took me to the home team. We weren’t able to put it together then. Fuck what they talken about. Questions regarding his label status came up   after a Billboard interview with Birdman last February revealed that Mr. “One of my cousins worked for Mannie Fresh when I was a kid. Let them handle the business. “Sometimes when you do business, you have different opinions in the way we see things and sometimes, things aren’t meant to work. It’s kind of hard to choose which one it’s going to be right now. This year, I wanted to break some new talent.”

HipHopDX Associate Producer Ural Garrett spoke with Young Greatness about leaving Quality Control and lessons he learned from his time there. His breakout single “Moolah”   earned him a gold plaque, he toured opening for Kevin Gates, and he even found himself being co-managed by Akon. “You know Drake, Nicki [Minaj], Wayne coming with their projects. Theodore Jones was now signed with Cash Money. They just wanted to see somebody from the city win. “People can say what they want, they talked about Jesus. They put up major numbers and their artists are the number one artists in the game. “First of all, there’s no ill will between me, Coach K and P so let’s just clear that out,” said Young Greatness. Birdman this and Cash Money that. Then, the New Orleans rapper just disappeared. That shit really don’t matter. I was always the one who never gave a fuck about what people say. So, this time I’m going to shove it in their face even harder. Cash Money was one of the labels that set the tone for the whole rap game and you can never deny history. It’s about what’s on black and white. I came in and did numbers. You can never question God’s judgment.”
But he didn’t leave the Atlanta-based label without learning anything. “As a label on a whole, it’s an excellent label to be on,” he said. That’s what molded me into who I am today.”
Speaking of his new home at Cash Money, he said talks of his move to the label began while he was at QC. You just stick to being a great artist and putting out good content.”
Enjoying a new label home and plans to release a new project in the upcoming months appropriately titled Bloody Summer, expect Young Greatness to be working overtime with his career refresh. It’s a great play off of ‘Moolah.’ So be ready.” “They have a lot of talent over there. “It was already genetically there,” he explained. Once things appeared to the public that things were kind of shaky with my situation. “To be honest with you, I feel like I’m starting all the way over,” he said. That’s what I did.

Despite Cash Money churning out some of music’s greatest artists both past and present, the label hasn’t had the best reputation in the last several years, including the high-profile rift between Lil Wayne and Birdman. “At the end of the day numbers don’t lie,” he said. They were willing to work with them to go further considering the fact that I was from New Orleans. It was their vision for me. Hollywood – Being on the same label as   Migos and Lil Yachty, Young Greatness   was looking to have the same crossover   success following his run in 2016. God has his own plan for you. I feel like with that situation, it wasn’t God’s plan for me. I choose my own path with my career. Regardless, that didn’t matter to Young Greatness. It might be this record I got called “We Rollin.” It’s real big and a nice summer record. That’s one of the biggest things I learned was in competition, you have to focus on what you have to do and not what the next person is doing. I was actually still on Quality Control at the time. You going to get a lot from me this summer. “We got new artists like The Money Man, Young Greatness,” Birdman told Billboard. Slim reached out before Baby and wanted to talk to me about my situation. When you look at that versus the he-said/she-said, it’s about the facts. I got a lot of dope records. One thing I learned being over there was that you have to earn your keep.

While it’s unlikely that any artist — including Desiigner himself — will match the cultural impact of “Panda,” it’s likely that Liife of Desiigner will do solid numbers. Droppiing The Album iiN July ???????⬆️

Many critics and fans are skeptical about the ability to meet, or let alone exceed, the success of his debut single, and initial handful of songs. Yet, he dodged the dreaded one-hit wonder pitfall when his second single “Tiimmy Turner,” which went viral and also went Platinum — and featured a Kanye West remix. A post shared by FunkFlex (@funkflex) on Apr 23, 2017 at 5:17pm PDT

While “Thank God I Got It” and “Up” don’t seem to be catching on his SoundCloud, “Up” has cracked a million on YouTube, and “Thank God I Got It” is well on its way. Currently signed to Yeezy’s GOOD Music imprint, and on his Outlet Tour, he announced his upcoming Liife Of Desiigner   album earlier today on Twitter, and those who take in his tour dates will get to hear it first. Still, the new records are having an impact online; Since it was released on February 14th, Outlet has over 4 million spins on his official YouTube channel and over 3.5 million on his official SoundCloud page. “Holy Ghost” has amassed well over 4 million cumulative spins. With or without radio support, Desiigner seems to be thriving and enjoying every step of the journey. Last week he allegedly tweeted “Fuck NY RADIO,” which could potentially have been a sign of frustration about the lack of support from hometown influencers for his new music. His hit record “Panda,” which was HipHopDX on our “most lit songs of 2016” list, became a cultural phenomenon, spawning a never ending sea of remixes, and becoming certified 5x Platinum. New York City, NY – Desiigner has had an unquestionably good 365 days. Much of that skepticism stems from the lackluster commercial performance of his three new singles, which have — thus far — failed to penetrate radio or Billboard, while “Panda” is currently at #100 after 64 weeks on the Digital R&B/Hip-Hop single sales chart.

“As music and dialogue on vinyl, and a full-fledged comic, First Weapon Drawn is a step away from the former Czarface releases in the sense that it serves as a pedestal for the character Czarface,” Esoteric explains to HipHopDX. Sadly, the 2,000 copies of the comic book that were available are sold out. “As lyricists and producers, we are in the background working on shining the light on him this time around, and we leave the bragging and boasting to him. Night Of/Mourning After After delivering A Fistful of Peril in   November 2016 and collaborating with Marvel Comics, Czarface — 7L, Esoteric and Inspectah Deck — has executed yet another full-length album, First Weapon Drawn, which adheres to its comic book-themed aesthetic. This time, though, it’s meant to serve as the soundtrack to a tangible   24-page comic book that was produced specifically for Record Store Day (April 22). We’re presenting this vinyl and giant comic when music is at its most disposable and accessible in the digital realm.”
According to the press release, the project was created in “the spirit of the highly sought after Power Records series from the ’70s, you can read along with the comic and hear the story come to life on vinyl. Powered by the trademark sound of The Czar-Keys, a sound that’s been developed since Czarface‘s first LP in 2013, First Weapon Drawn   serves as the soundtrack to Czarface‘s mysterious origin.”
The veteran Hip Hop trifecta shared the   second single from the project, “Death of a Comrade,”   earlier this month, and the remaining 13 tracks are finally available to stream.

To lighten things up, an   interview with LL Cool J on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert follows, although it gets heavy again with the late Cadalack Ron’s   posthumous release, “David Lynch Hung,” with Lush One and producer Briefcase. prince – “electric intercourse”

While Ja’s words appeared to be heartfelt, calling the fallout from the event an “inconvenience” may be attempting to soften the reality of the situation. If you told me yesterday that Ja Rule would start a prison camp for Instagram kids in the Bahamas, I woulda called you mad.

He was facing assault charges brought against him by a bartender at the club, but he was acquitted. Fort Lauderdale, FL – After he was found guilty of violating his probation earlier this week, Kodak Black could be facing up to eight years in prison, but his lawyer,   Raven Ramona Liberty, says she does not expect that to be her client’s sentence. Instead, it has been suggested that he continues anger management classes, which he was kicked out of recently for being disruptive and gassy. Speaking with Bossip, Liberty explained that there are several sentencing options with the prison term being the most severe. He is also facing charges for criminal sexual conduct in South Carolina and is out on $100,000 bond in that case. It debuted at #3   on the Billboard 200 chart. “I have the utmost faith in God that he will be out on the fourth and will start the tour,” Liberty said, noting Kodak Black’s age. “Fortunately he has the money to pay for attorneys. She believes the 19-year-old Florida rapper will receive something along the lines of his probation being extended or reinstated. Project Baby is scheduled to tour with Future and Migos on the Nobody’s Safe Tour, which starts May 4. Kodak Black’s debut album,   Painting Pictures,   was released while he was in jail. I don’t think sitting in jail is the correct punishment.”
The “Tunnel Vision” rapper violated his probation by going to a Miami strip club and attending a boxing match in Ohio. But this happens all the time to young men in his situation. The attorney also highlights that Kodak Black’s own probation officer has not recommended   a prison term. As of now, he is in jail until his next hearing that day.

#KendrickLamar’s new track #DNA sounds a whole lot like this rapper ‘D.Zign’s’ song ‘I Got’, which dropped months ago What do you guys think???”

On first listen, the flows are certainly a little similar, but to call this a case of clear-cut biting seems like a bit of a stretch. A post shared by D.Zign aka Mr. A short clip has appeared on Instagram comparing it to the track “I Got I Got I Got” by a rapper named D.Zign. We’ll leave both tracks below for you to decide. #CanIGetOne ☝? TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK! After all, “I Got I Got I Got” dropped in 2015 and has roughly 370 listens on Soundcloud, which begs the question as to how Kendrick would have heard it. Biting has been a bit of a hot topic lately, most notably with XXXTENTACION accusing Drake of jacking his flow. D.Zign has spoken on the issue himself, posting a meme to Instagram to the same effect, and writing on Facebook: “So… Kendrick just gonna steal my shit on his ‘DNA.’ song?”

GM PEOPLE!! The track in question is “DNA.,” one of K. The Insta post bears the question: “Whoa…. #KendrickLamar's new track #DNA sounds a whole lot like this rapper "D.Zign's" song "I Got", which dropped months ago ? What do you guys think??? However, there’s no denying that the similarity in the flow (and of course the prominence of the phrase “I got, I got, I got” in both songs) means it’s worth asking the question. Now it seems like the knives are out for Kendrick Lamar.

A side-by-side photo one Twitter user shared of the “geodesic domes” and tents used for disaster relief shows eerie similarities. It’s unclear if other artists have or will follow suit. Exumas, Bahamas – Given the scale of most music festivals, it’s not uncommon for a fest to have its fair share of glitches, human error, and overall bad luck. Fast-forward to 2017 and Eiht is back with his first full-length solo album in 10 years, Which Way Iz West, a 15-track project executive produced by East Coast luminary, DJ Premier, a partnership that may have some people scratching their heads. “But to see that we actually sat down and worked on a full-length project together, that really caught a few people off guard. Four years in the making, Eiht is hoping people recognize the hard work that went into creating the record.
