She also saluted Lady Luck, Remy’s longtime foe, for her recent interview with HipHopDX that made its rounds across the internet yesterday, March 9. Instagram – After spending a week and a half waiting in the wings to respond to Remy Ma’s “SHETHER” and “Another One” diss tracks, Nicki Minaj came out guns blazing on Thursday night with “No Frauds” with her long-time Young Money partners in crime Drake and Lil Wayne. Queens shut down Paris, then drop hits on #QueenTime.”
The “Feelin’ Myself” rapper is absolutely feeling herself and brimming with confidence, asserting that “next week [I’ll] beat Aretha [Franklin] for the most Hot 100 hits on Billboard by ANY woman in the world EVER in the history of music.”
With that being said, the ball’s in Remy’s court now, but you have to say — Nicki Minaj has made a pretty damn good case for herself. She has taken to her Instagram to issue Remy a few challenges, giving her just 72 hours to respond with a “hit.” Nicki has also offered Remy “half a million dollars if you can book any show or interview without mentioning the Queen name.”
Of course, 72 hours is a lot less time than Nicki herself took to clap back at Remy, but Nicki addresses this in the post, writing: “Queens don’t move on peasant time. “S/O to Lady Luck for [speaking] facts.

“I came in from the back and there was Elton John standing there with his two bodyguards, digging through records. @eltonjohn! Vancouver, BC – Pop icon Elton John is continuing to prove himself to be quite the Hip Hop head. While perusing the selection at Vancouver’s Beat Street Records recently, the singer made quite the hearty Hip Hop request when approached by a store employee. “We became friends and I talk to him about things, career wise. So when I first wanted to get sober, I called him and spoke to him about it because, you know, he’s somebody who’s in the business and can identify and relate to the lifestyle and how hectic things can be.” Most recently, he was spotted in a photo with Atlanta rhymer Young Thug, quickly fueling rumors of a possible collab between the two musicians. Despite the photo, which was shared in 2016, a collaboration has yet to come to fruition. Tragically, Beat Street Records was unable to accommodate Elton’s request for music from Tech N9ne, given that they were sold out of music from the independent powerhouse. Lindsay Tomchyshen, a manager at Beat Street Records, revealed to CBC News that Elton’s first request was for music from Kansas City wordsmith   Tech N9ne. … He asked my boss if we had any Tech N9ne, like, the gangster rapper and I was not expecting that,” Tomchyshen said. That kind of surprised us and threw us off,” Whoa! "The first thing he asked for was something by Tech N9ne, who is like a gangsta rapper. A post shared by Tech N9ne (@therealtechn9ne) on Mar 9, 2017 at 4:06pm PST

Elton’s request for tunes from Tech serves as just one of a myriad of Hip Hop moments for the English legend. And he had a substance abuse problem in the past. “I talk to Elton a lot,” Eminem said during a 2009 interview with the Detroit Metro Times. Yesterday (March 9), Tech N9ne shared a screenshot of CBC News’ story on Instagram and provided a “Whoa!” as his caption. Elton, who previously expressed interest in incorporating more Hip Hop into his music, also helped in ushering Eminem into sobriety, according to Slim Shady himself.

Want more? Check out the stats behind the beef in By The Numbers: Nicki Minaj Vs. Anybody that knows me knows that I embrace females. As the songs and subjects dominated Twitter trending topics all through the night, Nicki decided to share some mini lyric videos that highlighted her darts to her BX nemesis just in case the people may have missed them. Nicki Minaj/You paid for your brother’s wedding? Lol ♥️ You”
#ChangedIt – too many double meanings for me to let u guys decipher on your own. “I do not condone or recommend the tearing down of another female,” Remy Ma admitted. I always want to do some girl-oriented thing. The first one came courtesy of the most direct diss heard on “No Frauds.”
— NICKI MINAJ (@NICKIMINAJ) March 10, 2017

The lyric clip above takes aim at an array of topics but the most sensational bar came courtesy of the line where Nicki targeted Remy’s actions that caused her to do six years in prison, when she spit, “What type of bum bitch shoot a friend over a rack?/ What type of mother leave her one son over a stack?”
Remy Ma also didn’t pull any punches when she dropped “SHETHER,” which was fueled by incendiary lines like, “And I saw Meek [Mill] at All-Star; he told me your ass dropped/He couldn’t fuck you for three months, because your ass dropped… The implants that she had put in her ass popped!” and a shot toward her brother’s child rape case, “Guess who supports a child molester? Remy Ma Twitterverse – Nicki Minaj didn’t want to leave well enough alone after releasing her #3PackFromParis — which included a few responses to Remy Ma — refusing to fade into the background to let the people react. “That’s not what I do. Lol ♥️ You
— NICKI MINAJ (@NICKIMINAJ) March 10, 2017

The record appeared to a promise on Nicki’s end to keep the beef going as she rapped, “I buy, lil nigga ain’t no leaser here/ The bitch gambled her career, now it’s gonna be severe.”
In an interview that ran earlier this week, Remy Ma announced that she had concluded the beef and spoke on how she wasn’t proud of “SHETHER,” which is having a hard time staying actively linked across the internet thanks to its use of a copywritten instrumental. That’s hella foul/How you spend money to support a pedophile?”
Then there was the Lil Wayne-featured “Changed It,” which may not have appeared to be a diss to the naked ear but Nicki captioned the lyric tweet, #ChangedIt – too many double meanings for me to let u guys decipher on your own. I think we work so much better when we work together and when we help each other.”
By now, it seems like a resolution for this beef isn’t likely in the near future.

Despite his gruff appearance and unorthodox delivery and vocals, his debut album — 2003’s Philadelphia Freeway — earned him a gold plaque, and after the dissolution of the OG Roc, he released well-respected works such as The Stimulus Package with Jake One in 2010. emojis. Cue the Instagram captions. While some seem disappointed that Nick didn’t bite back as hard as Remy did, others are okay with the possibility that “No Frauds” will be 2017’s summer anthem. Much like Drizzy accomplished with the Meek Mill diss track   “Back To Back.”

Twitter – Finally, Nicki Minaj released a reply to Remy Ma dragging on her “SHETHER” with “No Frauds” featuring her Young Money compadres Lil Wayne and Drake, plus dropping two other joints “Changed It” featuring Weezy and a ballad titled “Regrets Of Your Tears,” dubbing it the #3PackFromParis. DC Young Fly reacts to Nicki Minaj responding to Remy Ma

At the end of the day…
They say numbers don't matter but when they discussing the kings they turnaround and say leBron ain't got 6 rings #NoFrauds
— Leonard Dynes (@dynestrio33) March 10, 2017

Listen to Nicki Minaj’s “No Frauds” featuring Lil Wayne and Drake here. Learn something dummies!

“But when they discussin’ the kings/ They turn around and say Lebron ain’t got six rings/ I never signed a 360, bitch you wild dumb/ That’s why Jay ain’t clear his verse for your album.”
Finally, Minaj seemingly touches on the risqué, less-than-flattering photo of her   that Remy posted to Instagram,   alluding she has ammo in her arsenal as well. After several days of radio silence in her war with Remy Ma, the wait for Nicki Minaj’s official response is over. “Shanaynay, you a fraud committin’ perjury,” she raps. Titled “No Frauds,” the Murda Beatz-produced track also features rap kingpins Lil Wayne and Drake, and clearly responds to Remy’s diss track and its poorly received follow-up, “Another One.”
The track comes as part of a three-song release   that Minaj dubbed a #3PackFromParis. Nicki Minaj has finally addressed Remy Ma’s “SHETHER”   diss track, which many people said obliterated the self-described Barbie. “Heard your pussy on ‘Yuck,” she spits. “I got before and after pictures of your surgery/ Rah took you to her doc, but you don’t look like Rah/ Left the operating table, still look like ‘nah.’”
Remy recently expressed regret over “picking apart a female,” but after this, she might find her fire has been   reignited and just might want to   jump back in the ring. “You can’t be Pablo if your work ain’t sellin’/ What the fuck is this bitch inhalin’?/ I would’ve helped you out that pit you fell in/I am the generous Queen! Ask Ms. “I guess you needed a pap/ What type of bum bitch shoot a friend over a rack?/ What type of mother leave her one son over a stack?/ Lil Boogie down basic bitch thinkin’ she back/ Back to back, oh you mean, back to wack?/ “Back to Back”? Me and Drizzy laughed at that.”
She then goes on to assure her listeners that album sales, in fact, do make a difference and denies she ever signed a 360 deal, as Remy alleged in “SHETHER.”
“They say numbers don’t matter,” she continues. Ellen/ Tried to drop “Another One,” you was itchin’ to scrap/ You exposed your ghostwriter, now you wish you were scrapped.”
It only gets   more vicious from there. The next few bars find Minaj dropping seething   lines about Drake laughing at   Remy’s attempt to go “Back To Back” and questioning Remy’s integrity.

After several minutes of dodging   the line of questioning, and claiming that it was his brother “Dolph Obama” and not himself involved, he eventually allowed this: “I wanna talk about it, but I don’t wanna talk about it. Chance posted a video early Thursday (March 9), that also included Gorley and his young daughter, which debunked the article. Mitchell, who admits she’s never even heard a single song he’s written, goes on to say Chance would take a “big hit” if the mother of his child, Kirsten Gorley, became embroiled in a   public fight with the three-time Grammy Award-winning rapper over child support. From the outside looking in, Lil Chano from 79th is seemingly   one of the only young MCs using his massive platform to bring awareness to important causes and contribute in whatever way he can, which is cause for celebration — not condemnation. The article comes a mere four days after Chano generously donated $1 million to Chicago Public Schools in hopes of helping the children of Chicago (who he called the city’s “most valuable resource”) get the education they deserve. “Just a friendly reminder — don’t let anybody get between you and your family.”
He concluded with, “Sun-Times get the fuck back.”

Don't worry about anything else. Chance and Gorley have reportedly been on good terms at least since January   when Gorley withdrew her initial court filings for a parenting plan. “Ya’ll better do ya’ll jobs and stop worrying about how good my family is,” he said. Mitchell writes, “[Chano’s] messy split from the mother of his 18-month-old daughter threatens to overshadow the positive vibes created by his $1 million donation to the Chicago Public Schools. Chicago, IL – Plastered across the front page of Wednesday’s (March 8)   Chicago Sun-Times was a headline that read, “Child Support Spat Could Hurt Chance the Rapper’s Image,” a story written by columnist Mary Mitchell. Chance, whose given name is Chancelor Bennett, is embroiled in a child-support fight in Cook County court, with new documents in the case filed this week.”
She also downplayed his philanthropic donation and wrote,   “$1 million won’t make a dent in the $215 million deficit the Chicago Public Schools is facing” and then accused   him of   coming to the aid of other people’s children, but not his own. Check out the family videos above addressing the issue and a post below where he gets in a short jab at the end. They play it on the radio. Especially when they’re not as dope as you. You’re the greatest and you’re suppose to feel as if you can kill anybody in a battle. Someone who still has an ongoing beef with Remy Ma is New Jersey’s own Lady Luck who battled against the “All The Way Up” rapper in two of the most high profile matches in female battle rap history. I will never get over it, ever cause she’s wack. And now you release an eight-minute record about the bitch? I’m happy for her and Papoose’s “Black Love.” I am a competitive rapper and you’re wack. It’s a way an artist constructs their bars because that’s how they put their rhymes together.’ShEther’ was seven minutes of dope insults. I had Rel Carter on the episode before. ”
During the conversation, Luck even mentioned that Remy allegedly had it in for Nicki since her time in jail. During the over hour interview, she also proclaimed the beef to be over.   “I was robbed. Los Angeles, CA – Following one of the biggest beefs in the year, Remy Ma recently explained why she’s not for the tearing down of other women, despite what went down between herself and Nicki Minaj in a live Facebook session with Buzzfeed’s Another Round Podcast. It isn’t all bad blood for Lady Luck who said she was happy for her success after serving six years in prison. She’s wack. Listen, it’s alright. Speaking with Editor-In-Chief Trent Clark, Luck gave her unapologetic thoughts on the beef between Remy and Nicki.   It’s not an obsession, it’s just you’re mad about who is hot. And then, she just apologized. “I’m not going to lie, I was salty too back in the day until I found Jesus and God said be happy for yourself. It just makes sense. Whether y’all feel she’s super lyrical or not, she tears that beat up.”
Keeping the   focus on their time promoting The First Family of Hip Hop, both Luck and Reece made a comment on a recent controversial episode where rap legend Melle Mel called Jay Z a “clown” and a “white businessman.”

Of course they did! Since Remy Ma rocketed back onto the scene with the explosive Nicki Minaj diss track “SHETHER,” fans have been waiting for Nicki Minaj to fire back some shots of her own. On Wednesday, Letty, from Los Angeles radio station Real 92.3, had tweeted that the station would be playing “New @NickiMinaj” at 9 p.m., prompting some excitement that Nicki was finally ready to return fire. Reports seem to suggest it’s most likely the former as Nicki’s supposedly not preparing a response track. @NICKIMINAJ #nickiiscoming ??

One of the BEST to ever touch the mic!

Puff Daddy, Faith Evans, and Fabolous   serve as just a handful of artists who have paid respect to Biggie this week.
— Brooklyn Nets (@BrooklynNets) March 8, 2017

News of “Biggie Night” comes as fans around the world pay respect to the Brooklyn wordsmith on the 20th anniversary of his death. The children of the late rapper, as well as Mark Pitts and Wayne Barrow are also invited to take part in the evening’s festivities. Official word on “Biggie Night” also came via the official Twitter account for the Brooklyn Nets. The evening game, which will go down at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, will serve as “Biggie Night.”
According to the New York Daily News, Puff Daddy and Biggie’s mother, Voletta Wallace will be in attendance at the game. Sunday's game vs the Knicks will honor the 20th anniversary of Biggie Smalls' passing. Brooklyn, NY – As the Brooklyn Nets battle the New York Knicks on Sunday (March 12), those in attendance at the game will help in celebrating the life of the late Notorious B.I.G. “Sunday’s game vs the Knicks will honor the 20th anniversary of Biggie Smalls’ passing,” the Brooklyn Nets tweeted yesterday (March 8). Although specific details have yet to be revealed, the game will feature pre-game and halftime ceremonies.

It’s unnecessary that Christopher lost his life at just 24. “They’ve done their investigation, but they just refuse to move forward. Speaking with Daily Mail, Biggie’s mother shares her heartbreak as she reflects on the unsolved murder case of Christopher Wallace, who was killed   at the age of 24. He was my baby, and I think about him every day.”
She also claims that she believes she knows who killed her son. “There’s no closure for me until that murderer is behind bars and sentenced,” she says. “It’s the worst pain in the world and one that I wouldn’t wish upon my worst enemy. “He was so young, so talented and his life was taken far too soon. The GMC Suburban that the New York legend was shot in is currently up for sale for $1.5 million. Kading claims that Puff Daddy hired a hitman to take out Tupac and that Suge Knight retaliated by hiring someone to kill Biggie. It seems to me that it’s one giant conspiracy, and someone is definitely being protected somewhere down the line.”
Former detective Greg Kading, who is responsible for the book and film   Murder Rap: Inside The Biggie & Tupac Murders, had previously spoken to Wallace about his findings into her son’s death. The cases of Tupac and Biggie will be analyzed in the television drama   Unsolved   coming to USA Network. Wallace says she has found solace in turning to God and staying involved in church, but that she will not have ultimate peace until there is justice for her son. I don’t know why they haven’t arrested who was involved. “Any mother who has lost a child knows exactly the devastation I feel,” she shares. “I have a very good idea who murdered Christopher and I genuinely believe that the LAPD know exactly who did too,” she says. Stroudsburg, PA – The Notorious B.I.G.’s mother, Voletta Wallace, says her son’s death still hurts “every single day” 20 years after he was gunned down outside of a Los Angeles party on March 9, 1997.

West. Drake had the highest-selling album of 2016,   and has won accolade after accolade, including Best Rap Song at the 2017 Grammys for “Hotline Bling,” where Kanye was shut out. #drake performing in a #kanyewest mask ??
A post shared by DJ Akademiks (@akadmiks) on Mar 7, 2017 at 8:17pm PST

While some reports suggest   that the mask was brought by a fan and Drake just grabbed it for a spontaneous onstage moment, others have speculated that Drake’s move was a decision to troll West after the Chicago rapper said that Drake’s music is overplayed (and then denied saying it). At his concert in Copenhagen, Denmark on Tuesday night, Drake donned a Kanye West mask — not the infamous jewel-encrusted mask from Yeezy’s Yeezus Tour, but instead what looks like a simple paper cutout of the “Famous” rapper’s face. This isn’t even the first time Drake has   masqueraded as Mr. For Halloween 2013, Drake went full Kanye, wearing the aforementioned Yeezus Tour getup. In September 2013, Drake described Kanye as “the guy that’s trying to outthink and outdo” and that Kanye was, for him, the person that he aspired to surpass. Drake has mentioned this before — last month in an interview with DJ Semtex on OVO Sound Radio, Drake complained that he’d gone from working with ‘Ye to him “shitting on [him] and Khaled for being on the radio too much.”
The two   had teased that they were working on a collaborative project together, although chatter about that has gone silent as of late. Has Drake successfully surpassed Kanye in 2017? The short clip from Denmark posted by DJ Akademiks sees Drake saying, “I got the Yeezy mask on now, y’all can’t fuck with me tonight.” It all looks and sounds rather impromptu, and nothing about it comes across as malicious. Since then, the dynamic between the two superstars has changed. Fight it out in the comments.

“Across the world. fans. This year is more of a sobering year. In the brief video, he confessed that the death of Biggie is a wound that “ain’t healed yet.”
“Shout out to all the loved ones out there,” Puff says in the video. Given that the Tribeca Film Festival serves as one of the country’s biggest gathering of filmmakers, Puff recently expressed his excitement at premiering Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop at the Robert DeNiro-founded festival. The Tribeca Film Festival is scheduled to take place in New York City from April 19 to April 30. “Tribeca brings the biggest names in entertainment and culture together with visionaries from across industries to celebrate the power of storytelling. “I am blessed to be introducing our film at the Tribeca Film Festival,” Puff Daddy said in a statement to Billboard. On today’s anniversary, a visibly emotional Puff shared a heartfelt message about his late friend in a video uploaded to Instagram. For us, we lived 20 years of our lives without somebody that has been a big part of our lives. On the 20th anniversary of The Notorious B.I.G.’s death, it has been revealed that Puff Daddy will debut his new documentary, Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop: The Bad Boy Story at the Tribeca Film Festival this year. It’s 20 years. There is no better place to share the story behind the Bad Boy movement and this unprecedented musical event.”
The Daniel Kaufman-directed film will detail the rise of Bad Boy Entertainment, as   well as the death of Biggie, who was murdered in Los Angeles 20 years ago today.

You don’t really understand the trouble New York has gone through as a city, alone, and to get where it is today. “Maybe like on a politics side or a community side, it kind of took me back,” Nas recalled when asked about the new knowledge he obtained from The Get Down. So that right there was taking me back because when you think of New York today, you think of a whole different situation. “I could remember the [New York City] blackout in ’77. II trailer we discover that our young lovers, Books (Justice Smith) and Mylene (Herizen F. In an exclusive interview with HipHopDX last year, the rap legend elaborated on what he had learned as the show was being developed. It’s the type of history its executive producer Nas even got a crash course of history on. So it took me back and that right there struck a chord with me. Los Angeles, CA – The year is 1978 and the city is the New York City. To me, I’m proud of my city because I saw it go through hell.”
The Get Down Pt. Everyone is in for another BX rendezvous that involves greedy record label execs, a bankrupt Rotten Apple and all around gangsta shit. Guardiola) have their romance pushed to the limit as cultural revolution and their adjacent careers continue to blossom. Me and Baz had to have a nice conversation about that night that I’ll never forget, and I was only 4-years-old but I was fully aware of how serious it was, so it was just taking me back to how things were happening and what would be happening with lights going off, no electricity in the city, the city going through somewhat of a bankrupt moment, how buildings were left behind all over the Bronx. I remember what it was like so if I had to write a scene for it to be filmed I could make it exactly the way it was in my apartment the night of the 77 blackout. Part Two of Netflix’s highly favored series, The Get Down has arrived and HipHopDX is proud to premiere its high-octane trailer ahead of its global April 7, 2017 premiere date. II trailer can be viewed up above.
