Sylvester Huffin   is the second man to be arrested in the case. He has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and three weapons charges after a fight broke out between Raheem Thomas — a local Paterson artist who works under the name “Fuzz” — and members of Fetty’s crew. Bruh… I've gotten like 15 + diff pics with ppl posing with a "fetty wap" chain just tonight alone…allegedly after a altercation his chain is now on tour in the hood. Three people on the scene were reportedly shot and hospitalized,   with Fetty escaping physical harm. A man linked to the New Jersey star’s record label was arrested Thursday after a brawl broke out last Sunday in a Paterson deli, according to a report from Page Six. Thomas was initially arrested on aggravated assault and weapons charges and faced an additional robbery charge on Wednesday.   The publication notes that Huffin is the executive manager and A&R for Fetty’s label, RGF Productions. The “Trap Queen” artist has not addressed the matter publicly. Chicago, IL – Chance The Rapper announced early Friday (March 31) that he was holding a second press conference for Chicago Public Schools at Paul Robeson High School, which follows the one previously held at Westcott   Elementary where he generously donated $1 million to CPS.
— Lil Chano From 79th (@chancetherapper) March 31, 2017

Among those who helped secure the funds were the Chicago Bulls (who matched Chance’s $1 million), Kanye West’s manager Scooter Braun and comedian Hannibal Buress. This time around, the press conference was   once again streamed live on his Instagram and ended with another donation to the tune of $2.2 million. In light of President Trump’s proposed massive budget cuts for the arts, humanities and public media, Lil Chano also unveiled the New Chance Arts and Literature Fund, which he said “will bring arts programs and materials to schools.”
Beginning with the 2017-2018 school year, Chance promised to “begin investing dollars and material resources into Chicago Public Schools,” and also said it would be in   collaboration with the   Children’s First Fund and in partnership with the Chicago-based arts education advocacy organization, Ingenuity. Watch the press conference above. Despite his failed meeting with Illinois governor Bruce Rauner, which Chance deemed “unsuccessful,” it looks like the young activist   is taking matters into his own hands and truly doing an incredible service for his community.

There’s much more of that to come, but after spending three years outside of the box I was left with a burning desire to just fuckin rhyme. ‘Talking (Bleep)’ and ‘Problems’   were my last two lead singles, both markedly unconventional. As it stands, there are two options for where the games might be held in 2024: Los Angeles or Paris. Both cities have hosted the games more than once, though the Olympics haven’t been to Paris since 1924. Dre has something of a Midas touch. The host for 2024 isn’t scheduled to be announced until September 13 this year, at the 130th International Olympic Committee session in Lima. Los Angeles, CA – Between N.W.A, launching Eminem’s career, dropping The Chronic and 2001, and his monstrously successful Beats By Dre business, it’s fair to say that Dr. LA has hosted the games in 1932 and 1984. for a third time,   named more members to its board of directors on Thursday, and features a few other personalities with a track record of success, including basketball legend Magic Johnson, opera singer Placido Domingo, movie and record exec David Geffen, and   LA Dodgers President and chief executive Stan Kasten. The group, which aims to bring the Games back to L.A. Dre and the rest aren’t just donating their time and effort to the campaign though. Dr. Between them, the 117 board members have already donated $50 million to the cause, according to a press release. With that in mind, the goal to bring the 2024 Olympic Games to Dre’s home city of Los Angeles might have gotten some help with his addition to LA 2024’s board of directors.

This tape is timeless because of her. GQ: My school, my middle school, they wanted us to do extracurricular activities besides school so when they found out that I rapped, they took me to the studio when I was in middle school, so they introduced me to everything that I needed. But as far as that sound, probably Drake and Kanye, biggest influences as far as the singing rapping sound. She didn’t think I cared or valued her. She became my best friend and even gave me advice on all the other women I was dealing with. It’s relieving. So for me, like when I fell in love was when I realized that how much I love music was how much I loved this girl. Basically just always   had my back even when it wasn’t in her favor. When I’m on the move, I don’t be thinking about anything, but it’s like when she’s on the move and I’m not, that’s what “Drown” was about. It took so much time just waiting on the right time or getting frustrated because it’s not your time yet. Born Aarin Griffin, he got his stage name after playing football, where the coaches shortened his last name to just Griff. There’s a Passion EP that’s not out. The hardest times is really when I’m not doing anything. As far as this singing and rapping sound, I kind of developed that on my own and then I heard them doing this. I started writing. I listen to every single person. I don’t have a favorite because I listen to everything. Ahead of his show opening for Dreamville’s Cozz in Los Angeles on March 30, HipHopDX spoke with Griff Queso about   Passion, his musical influences and what’s next. and tickets are $15 here. DX: What’s next for you? So I felt I had to show her and chose to become hers and exclusive to her. GQ: Yeah, ‘Pac, all the legends. Titled   Passion, the eight-track project showcases his crooning ability and knack for   painting pictures of emotion and strength. Everybody putting out music like this is from the North, from another country, not anybody from the heart of LA, Inglewood, South Central, nobody’s putting out music like that. HipHopDX: What is the concept of your debut EP,   Passion? If you’re not passionate about something, that shows how much you value it or how much you’re in love with it. As far as rapping because I do rap, too, which you’ll hear in the future, Cole, Kendrick, people like that. It was more soulful, so I used all the songs, all the new ones. What I think is passion is the driving force in love. Get yo tickets ASAP! He thought it was solid and chose to look out for me and make me a part of the show. GQ: Man, it’s just relieving. GQ: I got this project titled Practice Run that’s gonna drop sometime towards the end of the year and this is completely different from Passion. They’re always on 10. But it felt better than the first time. It felt like we had already met before and we were already close. After getting his start at the age of 10 by writing poems, Griff got his boost into music in middle school with his first visit to a   studio. Besides that, me and myself. GQ: I listen to everybody, so I draw influences from everybody. I just wanted to separate it first, but Practice Run, look out for Practice Run. I listen to all genres too. Doors open at 8 p.m. But no matter what happens, whether we’re together or not,   I’ll always have passion for her. It’s not like I heard them doing it first. GQ: Skeme, Casey [Veggies], that’s all I really listen to from Inglewood is them. That’s how I started recording, then after that, me and my friends that went there that did music, we just kept recording in the house and then eventually I just perfected it, started going to real studios and stuff. DX: How does it feel to have your debut project out in the world? It started off with poems, then I started writing songs when I was 10 then I started recording when I was 13, but never put anything out. DX: What do you see in the Inglewood Music Scene? So he’s experiencing emotions he’s never felt before, doesn’t know how to control them. It’s like a player falling too deeply in love with somebody. I’m just chilling when she’s going. I showed him everything I’ve been working on plus the stuff that’s already out. GQ: Exactly. I try to take influences from everything. I was like oh wow. That caused a lot of ups and unfortunately also caused a lot of downs. The 23-year-old Griff based his debut EP around the story of his first love. It’s all rapping and it’s all hype, all turnt up. They’re always extreme whether sad or happy, so then I just relate it to passion, just how passionate you are about somebody. Every song is a performance song. But the city is ready to produce a new artist who goes by the name of Griff Queso. It was on 10. Whether we were sad, happy, or any type of emotion, it was extreme. I’m not biased when it comes to music. One day we just linked back up. DX: How did you meet the girl and what sparked the passion for her? But I think that I’m just different because nobody from my section’s putting out music like this. DX:   And that same passion for her do you feel it for your art? I think it’s a great opportunity for me to showcase my talent, get more exposure, and gain new fans. Then everything else I recorded in one day for two days I think. After developing his own sound at a young age, he was encouraged to keep singing and rapping by watching he likes of Drake and Kanye West. That’s the only reason why it took two years and then after that, it didn’t take too long. I just put out the singing first so they could see that side and then I’m gonna put out this so they could see the more turnt up side, the rapping side and my lyrical ability as far as flow. I was like ‘Wow I love this music.’ So that’s why I kept doing it. DX:   What was the school? We didn’t talk much at first but after the first time we chilled, the chemistry was crazy. DX: How long did you work on this project? This passion   inspired a side of me that I never experienced. A post shared by Griff Que$o | The Wood, CA (@griffqueso) on Mar 27, 2017 at 2:47pm PDT

DX: How did you connect with Cozz and what does it mean to you to be a part of his show? GQ: Culture and Language Academy of Success. DX: Who are your influences? I’ll be here all day if I was naming every influence that I got. See Griff Queso perform with Cozz and friends in Los Angeles Thursday night (March 30) at Los Globos. Griff Queso: I was just portraying a love story, but what’s unique about it is that it’s not ordinary. GQ: I’ve known his producer Meez for years. That’s how I realized it was passionate because I’m passionate about this. It began to hurt me to keep   hurting her like that because I, too, fell deeply for her. Then, as he got more serious about his music, he added his favorite term for money, Queso. Through time, she ended up falling for me while I was still being a dog. DX: How did you record when you were 13? I’m just like relieved. It’s totally different because I want people to see both sides of me. GQ: It’s not that hard. GQ: I met the girl about three and a half years ago due to us having mutual friends. I just wrote and recorded it in two days. Then, after that’s all together, then I can put out something where I’m doing both so that people can already know. Our relationship was very fiery and passionate due to how deeply we felt about each other. Los Angeles, CA – Inglewood has been buzzing thanks to artists like   TDE’s newest signee SiR and Skeme. DX:   In “Drown,” you talk about your girl being ambitious and obviously you’re trying to be ambitious, how do you balance your music and having a relationship? It took my creativity to a new level and helped me evolve as an artist. DX: Yeah and you’ve got Tupac on your shirt. He finally had to quit football in college (he was a running back) because of an   injury and has since turned his full attention to making music. DX: When did you start making music? Everybody gets to hear what I’ve been working on. GQ: It actually took like two years, but what’s crazy about it is we did a full tape and then we decided to do another one that had nothing to do with Passion and we came back to Passion and we took everything off and started all over. We used to make music back when we were like 15, 16. I recorded drown on April Fool’s Day of last year. GQ: When I was 10 years old. When I first started this, I was like 14 years old, then Drake came out.

Produced by Kamandi, Azizi Gibson’s latest track, “High,” is another dark production from the often bleak rapper. Oddly enough, it worked.

I just let them see what I’m doing and where I’m at with it, and that’s the same with the band. They gave us enough time to get in the studio to record it and stuff, and we were able to do what we needed to do. After all, the “Harmony” part of the name comes from   five voices meshing together to create   the group’s unique (and undeniably dope) sound. ‘Hey he’s drinking, he’s a drug addict, he’s doing this and doing that,’ and so on and so forth. I can’t wait for someone to say it to my face— say it to my face! Los Angeles, CA – After unveiling their   new moniker— Bone Thugs — and lead single “Coming Home” featuring Stephen Marley, Bizzy Bone and Krayzie Bone of the legendary Bone Thugs-n-Harmony crew are in heavy work mode, currently crafting their upcoming video, “Fantasy,” at a random roller skating rink somewhere in Los Angeles. “We’re doing our thing all the time. “This was something that was long overdue, so we decided to go about it in this way,” Bizzy explains. I don’t take that shit personally. While many Bone Thugs-n-Harmony fans are thrilled to finally see a Bizzy and Krayzie duo come to fruition,   there are some saying it’s simply because the rest of the members “fell off,” something both Krayzie and Bizzy dismissed in a recent interview with HipHopDX. Check out tour dates here and watch for New Wave to arrive sometime in June. Layzie has a record out called Perfect Timing currently and the rest of us, we’re a traveling band. “They got it twisted for real.”
Bone Thugs-n-Harmony has always been like family (in fact, some of them are actually blood-related). “After you’ve been in the business for 20 years, sometimes certain artists fall off and can’t feed themselves. We also got some good stuff with the rest of the fellas on there. “There was a time when I was doing the Strength and Loyalty record that it was shit on Bizzy time. Wait a minute, them fighting words,” he laughs. The duo’s forthcoming album, New Wave, features contributions from the other three as well. “But yeah I haven’t heard it yet. “I haven’t heard it I guess,” Bizzy says. Like most families would, the rest of the members supported the idea of Bone Thugs. “With the support of all of the fellas, we were able to put it together. It don’t stop.”
Bone Thugs-n-Harmony is gearing up to the hit road once again on a massive North American tour. This is what we do. As far as certain members “falling off,” Bizzy assures people they’re still thriving, but also has a message for any haters out there. We get on the road, we work, stay relevant, and we stay out there.”
“I will tell you they wrong,” Krayzie adds. Bizzy, Krayzie, Layzie, Wish Bone, and Flesh-n-Bone could not have established   the legacy they have without all of the pieces to the puzzle. We’re a family and that’s just what we do.”
“The other members are just as active as we are,” Krayzie adds. “They eatin’, they got some money, they rent paid, and they doing good,” Bizzy says.

Ma$e went worldwide. Leaving the music industry in 1999, Ma$e became a preacher for El Elyon International Church where he spent time between Phoenix   and Atlanta. Starting preaching and all that shit. But, I know niggas 28, 29, 30 that can’t handle having $10 million. In between a lot of talk of music, he also shared “One thing people can say is they know I’m not scared,” before giving a chuckle. The Dipset leader’s claims regarding Ma$e echo similar sentiments shared by Lord Jamar during a 2014 interview with Vlad TV. They can’t beef with me, they can’t ask me for nothing. He made a return to music around 2004 for the gold-selling   Welcome Back, which   featured him in a cleaner image. “I shoulda chimed in on Cam live,” he said. According to TMZ his return to rap came after he fell out of favor with El Elyon members following a divorce from his then-wife Twyla Betha in 2014. He was like you know what niggas aint gonna motherfucking harass me if I’m in church. Check out this sermon from the former Pastor Mase below. You know why?” asked Cam. Music. I’ma throw on the Rev Run collar, and get the fuck out of here,” said Cam. “That’s what Ma$e did. That’s what Ma$e did. “Can’t even get mad at Ma$e. Ma$e said you know what, I’m just gonna say I’m in church. “Let me tell you something. I used to be mad at Ma$e because I was younger than Ma$e. During a nearly 30-minute Instagram live session Tuesday (March 28), Cam’ron spoke on his former Children of The Corn brethren Ma$e   who he claims became a pastor due to the pressures   of   having a fortune and fear. The following day, Ma$e took time out of his Instagram live   session to make a small remark to Killa’s claim. I see what he was doing with that shit. He went triple-platinum when he was 21 years old, my nigga, that’s a lot to handle.”
However, Cam said Ma$e took things too far when he decided to become an evangelical leader to run away from the pressures of the world. Ma$e took it too far, though. That nigga Ma$e was 22 years old with $10 million, my nigga. At one point, he even was rumored to be signing to G-Unit or G.O.O.D.
