The Ruff Ryders legend made the call after canceling a series of performances due to what was deemed a “medical emergency.” DMX reportedly entered the rehab facility voluntarily Thursday (April 28) in Southern California with the support of his manager, Pat Gallo, and his ex-wife, Tashera Simmons. “We are eternally grateful for the outpouring of concern and support that has poured in. We ask that you please keep X in your prayers as he embraces your support.”
The Dog took the stage last week at the Ruff Ryders reunion show at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn where the show was littered with technical issues and some ramblings. “It is important right now that he take some time off to focus on his health so that he can be a better father, friend and entertainer,” Gallo said in a statement. This is not DMX’s first trip to rehab as he’s battled substance abuse for quite some time. DMX has checked himself into rehab, according to TMZ.
