New York City, NY – Even with the vast selections in Hip Hop sounds these days, including the ubiquity of trap, there’s still a viable (and demanded) market for traditional sounds in rap music. Featuring 25 sets of drums (including 92 kicks, 72 snares and 32 hi-hats) the D.I.T.C. Just ask the legendary Diggin’ In The Crates Crew, who recently supplied longtime fans with heat this past November via their album, Sessions. and the late, great Big L (and sometimes even Big Pun!), Buckwild, Diamond Lord Finesse and Showbiz (and sometimes DJ Premier!) rounded out the clique on the boards. And the production facet of the team is bringing their countless hours of digging for rare records to the forefront with their own signature D.I.T.C. HipHopDX described the project as “a shining new effort” and, for upcoming artists who excel in emceeing, the New York collective is making it easy for them to follow in its footsteps. Studios Drum Kit is currently available on the crew’s official website for just $25. To complement the fierce lyricism of Fat Joe, O.C., A.G. Studios Drum Kit.
“People are raising their kids to be more and more knowledgeable and understanding,” he says. I’m coming so clean-cut with the message of hope and understanding, and the Word, that it’s like: What could you be fearful of?”
Read the full story at GQ and view Chance The Rapper’s cover below. As his friend Barack Obama prepares to leave the office of President of the United States, Chance The Rapper says he is “not afraid” of what’s to come as Donald Trump steps into the role of Commander in Chief. I would say to everybody, you know, the world is coming together.”
Instead of being distraught by Trump winning the presidency, he encourages fans to look at the unity around them. That’s why I’m not afraid of a Trump presidency.”
He continues by saying that Trump‘s motto “Make America Great Again,” didn’t resonate with the people he is trying to represent. If you feel like you’re the under-represented, under-appreciated side of Middle America that is white—quote me—you need to, uh, toughen up, nigga! You know what I’m saying? He offers his music, including HipHopDX’s 2016 Album of the Year Coloring Book, as a voice of hope. In a cover story for GQ, the Chicago MC explains why he has confidence that the world will not end when the real estate mogul enters the White House. “I want to be the good guy,” he says, sharing lessons he’s learned from his father. “I would say the main reason not to be afraid is that I’m making music for your kids now. Somebody gotta punch you in the chest, because shit is sweet for you. GQ “It’s not really going that bad for you. But the good guy, in what I’ve seen happen so far, the good usually wins. “And sometimes the good guy sounds like a lame thing. “‘Make America Great Again,’ that’s not a real thing because shit ain’t really switched up for them,” he says.

Nineteen85, the producer behind some of Drake’s biggest hits of the last 12 months, including “One Dance” and “Too Good” with Rihanna, has spoken to Billboard about what fans can expect from Drizzy’s next project:
“More Life is interesting because this is [Drake] right on the peak of his biggest project yet [with VIEWS], doing his biggest tour and still having so many good ideas that he just wants to put it out without making it a big ordeal.”
The “Hotline Bling” producer emphasized that Drake isn’t hyping up More Life in the same way that he did VIEWS. His follow-up playlist, More Life, is slated to drop sometime in 2017 and fans have already been treated to individual tracks like “Fake Love” and “Sneakin’” featuring 21 Savage. Drake always knows how to make people feel.”
Read the whole interview here. “That’s why he’s trying to call it a playlist because he has a bunch of people in a space, hanging out … He’s so aware of what everybody else is doing musically that he likes to introduce new music and new artists to the rest of the world.”
Nineteen85 also spoke on some of the bigger tracks that he’s produced for Drake, complimenting the connection that the two share: “There’s a thing he knows how to do on my beats that connects with the audience so well.”
He reserved special praise for “One Dance,” saying: “There’s a void when it comes to that type of feel-good record nowadays the songs that the Michael Jacksons of the world used to make. It hasn’t even been a year since Drake dropped VIEWS, but fans are already fiending for new music from the Canadian rapper.
TMZ reports that Youngsta performed at the L.A. Ironically, it was just over a year ago when Youngsta made headlines for having a surplus of cash on him. Last January, the rapper was detained in Atlanta after withdrawing $200,000 from his bank account. He was accused of attempting to cash a forged $24,000 check but was later released when it was revealed that authorities were given a wrong description of the suspect. Memphis, Tennessee rapper Blac Youngsta is facing backlash from strippers at Los Angeles’ Ace of Diamonds, after he allegedly skipped out on tipping them during a recent visit. this the BS part but it builds patriotism so I get it. January 20 will see the administration of America’s first ever black president come to an end. The president built up a lot of good will in the Hip Hop community throughout his two terms in the Oval Office, frequently discussing his favorite artists and inviting them to State dinners held in the White House. Plenty of rappers took to Instagram to say goodbye to Obama, with the president’s fellow Chicago native Twista going so far as to change his Twitter avi to a picture of Obama with a “Farewell” banner on the bottom. 😢. Fair, strong, wise, a HERO to all people everywhere. Well Done Job My Man. Many more expressed their fond wishes. !!!!!!!! Mayweather also name-checked some of the veterans of modern-day battle rap to show off his knowledge: “Aye Verb, Murda Mook, Serius Jones, Hollow… I been with it for a minute.”
Asked if he thought he had what it takes, Mayweather matched his older brother’s natural bluster, saying “Nah man, I don’t think I got what it takes. We’ll see what’s going on. Would you look at this… Justin Mayweather and his brother… Floyd Mayweather Jr…#first #time #mayweather

While Floyd Mayweather is training Soulja Boy for his fight with Chris Brown, the boxer’s younger brother Justin is preparing for a battle of a different kind: battle rap. The younger brother said the two only discovered each other later in life, and “that’s how it goes in the hood.” However, Justin has posted photos of himself at his older brother’s training gym. “I’ve been into battling, I got into battling way back in the day — before all the props and all the extra stuff they be doing now,” he says. That’s my response.”
Though Justin says that Floyd Mayweather knows him, he also says they don’t kick it often. I know I got what it takes.”
As for his battling resume, Mayweather has said it’s all off-camera, and when asked who he’d like to battle on AHAT, he couldn’t be drawn: “I seen a couple cats but we’ll figure it out.

The song gained traction when a video made its rounds on the internet of the group performing it to a super, hyped up crowd in Lagos, Nigeria. “Bad and Boujee” is the first single off Migos’ sophomore effort Culture and is produced by Metro Boomin and G. Drake didn't rock Bama gear until this year and they lost. The college football team that has dominated with four national titles since 2009 was beaten by the Clemson Tigers last night when a last-second touchdown made it 35-31 for the underdogs. Reluctant to blame their players or their coach, Crimson Tide fans have found a different scapegoat — Drake. This case study also claims that the Golden State Warriors’ losses increased by 100% after Drake and Steph Curry got a burger together … With that in mind, we can see why Crimson Tide are throwing sidelong glances in Drizzy’s direction.
Brothers fight. News of a possible location for the battle between Breezy and Soulja comes shortly after Soulja Boy let loose a series of flip-flopping social media posts. “Chris is my brother, man. Sometimes brothers fight,” Soulja said in a video uploaded to Instagram. We been on tour. In a series of tweets sent this week, the Atlanta rapper boasted on wanting to beat down Chris Brown “for Rihanna,” and declared that the streets don’t respect the singer. While an exact location hasn’t yet been set for the boxing match between Chris Brown and Soulja Boy, one thing is looking certain, and that is the fight won’t take place in the United States. Shortly after Soulja let his Twitter fingers fly, he uploaded a video where he referred to Chris Brown as a “brother,” and revealed that he has no beef with him. A video posted by The Shade Room (@theshaderoom) on Jan 8, 2017 at 1:36pm PST
Although Soulja promoted a March date for the fight in his IG video, an exact date and location has yet to be confirmed. According to TMZ, there are rules and regulations in place (including a mandatory drug test for amateur fighters) that would block such a fight from going down on U.S. Instead, Dubai has been thrown around as a possible location for the fight between the newly feuding duo. Despite not taking place in the U.S., those involved in the fight are also reportedly confident that the two musicians could cash out big time if their match is aired on Pay-Per-View. I'm going to teach him how to knock your ass out @souljaboy. After a long career of taking heads (and the occasional ear) off in the ring, former heavyweight champ Mike Tyson has tried his hand at a lot of new things, including poetry. "IF YOU SHOW UP”… It's going down. Tyson is coaching Brown while the undefeated Floyd Mayweather coaches Soulja Boy, though we doubt Floyd is going to spend any time penning verses for Breezy. This week, a petition popped up requesting that Future perform the National Anthem at this weekend’s playoff game between the Falcons and Seahawks. “Future coincidentally was engaged to and reportedly laced Russell’s current wife in Gucci flip flops,” the petition creator writes. The playoff game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Atlanta Falcons is scheduled to go down this Saturday (January 14) at the Georgia Dome. This would be great for humanity but especially America, which we all know is going through a very tough time right now.”
Dan Quinn, head coach for the Falcons, has already confirmed that there will be no shady shenanigans during this weekend’s game. “We will absolutely not go down that road,'' Dan Quinn told @Bighugh53 about requesting Future songs to annoy Russell Wilson. — vaughn mcclure (@vxmcclure23) January 10, 2017
Just a few days ago, it was reported that Ciara chose to drop her $15 million defamation suit against Future, with whom she has a two-year-old son. The rivalry between the Seattle Seahawks and the Atlanta Falcons has nothing on the rivalry fans have created between Atlanta rapper Future and Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. “I believe that if Future sings the national anthem, Russell Wilson, the Seahawks, and Soul Glo will all take Ls. “Russell Wilson is a chilly pimp,” the petition reads. “I don’t f#&k with him because he reminds me of Eriq LaSalle’s character, Darryl Jenks, the heir to the Soul Glo empire in Coming to America.”
The petition creator later goes on to make mention of the past relationship between Future and Ciara, who is now married to Wilson. Created by Edwyn H (possibly restaurateur/Hip Hop head Eddie Huang), the petition has received nearly 700 supporters as of today (January 10), with a goal of 1,000.
After dealing with reports that he was severely in the red with the IRS for most of this decade, the 43-year-old Hip Hop legend bossed up and shelled out more than $3.5 million for Uncle Sam to remove him from the “you’re-going-to-jail” list. With an album admittingly completed and an upcoming performance at Rolling Stone’s Big Game Bash in Houston for Super Bowl LI, Nas will have plenty of opportunities in 2017 to keep the revenue stream flowing. The buzz should prove helpful for Sean’s upcoming campaign, as his fourth studio album will be released via Def Jam a couple weeks later on February 3, nearly a year removed from his third studio album, Dark Sky Paradise, which debuted at No. Music torchbearer will now make his first-ever appearance on NBC’s famed Saturday Night Live come January 21.

I’m finna knock that stupid ass nigga out. Tell Lil Wayne fight me, nahmsayin?,” said Kodak. Kodak Black says "Lil Wayne can Eat my ASS" pic.twitter.com/5KiTHnmDge
— DJ Akademiks (@IamAkademiks) January 9, 2017 Since Soulja Boy and Chris Brown doing it, I don’t even need no trainer. Now, the Florida rapper wants to strap on the gloves à la Chris Brown and Soulja Boy for the title claim as this beef continues to take on new dimensions. “Ay listen here, man. Check out the initial video in the clip above courtesy of The Shade Room. And if he whoop me, he the best rapper alive, ya heard me?”
Boogie chimed in during the tough talk and says that he’ll put his jewelry up as a bet in support of Kodak, which only egged the 19-year-old on. In a video from inside a recording booth standing alongside A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Kodak Black issued his threats to the Young Money captain in hopes they too can cash in on the celebrity fight hype like Soulja and Breezy. I’m finna beat Lil Wayne stupid ass, watch,” continued Kodak. Tunechi has yet to return fire, verbal or otherwise, but it’s still early in the game. Stay tuned. Just to make things even stranger, another video has popped up of Kodak presumably walking around New York at night and randomly saying, “Lil Wayne can eat my ass” before talking to compatriots offscreen.
